DOG-HBAItTEID TRAITORS. London, July H. The Rome correspondent of the Daily Chronicle states that a court-martial has begun of four Italians—Oarpi, Mosohind, Azzoni, and Bartolini—who are charged with having biown up the 'battleship Benedetto Briri, in September, lfldfi, at Brindisi, with the loss of 646 of the crew. The evidence shows that the inquiry for six months was without result, but in May, 1916, an Italian spy, Molotti, who was formerly of the Austrian Secret Service, revealed a plot between Ftinso, a German official, and the German proprietor of a fashionaJble Venice hotel, who received iffliOOO each to organise the outrage, 'fliey enlisted the services of the four accused, three of whom were members of the battleship's crew. This dog-hearted quartette are now in a steel cage in the Roman Assize Court. They are thoroughly had criminals, and received £B4OO .blood money.—Aus.-NwZ. Cable A«soc.
