HUNTING.

The North Taranakl hounds met at the residenco of the master, Mr. A. H. Halcombe, at Urenui, on Thursday afternoon. Mr. Halcombe provided an excellent lunch. Subsequently the hounds threw off, and woTked well, and there was some excellent jumping. Several hares were driven from cover, and there were one or two good runs, ono of which ended in a kill. [At the close of the hunt members and their friends were again hospitably entertained, and later Mr. B. H. Chaney expressed Hu* sincere appreciation of the hunt to the master for his great kindness and hospitality. He also took tho opportunity of thanking the ladles who had so kindly assisted in entertaining the hunt.
