EVERYBODY'S. t: The Adventurer," Charlie Chaplin's I latest Mutual comedy, scored an instantaneous success at Everybody's yesterday at both matinee and evening session?. Charlie has never given us anything better or funnier and the picture is; adequately described as "a scream.' 1 To-night is positively the last occasion that this picture can be screened. In ''The Adventurer" Charlie acts as an escaped eonviet, and there are hunts hy the police, chasings through society festivals, and even fun on the bathing beaches; and through all the swift and light action of the comedy the fun-maker indulges in all his so well-known rpeertoirc, and lias added several new ideas that bring in their train gales of laughter. "The Adventurer" is ths latest of the Chaplin pictures to come out to this country, and not the most critical could ever question its excellence ''The Adventurer'' will make men and women laugh even against their wills"Until They Oft Me" is a Triangle ■lraira of some appeal. It pictures the ftory of a man who has broken the law, and it also shows the police idea. "We always get our man at the last," and how it works out. "Until They Get Me" is a realistic story of Northern America, and it has stirring scenes and a gripping plot. THE EMPIRE. EMILY STEVENS IN "ALIAS MRS JES'SOP." Popular Emily Stevens scored another success at the Empire last night in the big Metro feature, "Alias Mrs Jessop," ■A-hicli gives the gifted actress a wonderful opportunity to show her extraordinary dramatic talent in a double role, :hat of two personalities as widely apart as the poles. The production is in the usual magnificent planner associated with the Metro trademark. The remain Ing screening nights are to-night and tomorrow. COMING MONDAY. ANOTHER BIG GOLDWYX TRIUMPH. The star sensation for next week -will be the appearance of Madge Kennedy in the Goldwyn super-feature "Baby Mine," a film version of the famous light musical comedy. The screening nights will be next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. and the prices of admission will remain as usual.
