Received July 10, 10.40 p..m. Sydney, July 10. A movement is on foot to establish a liberty league to safeguard the interests of sport. The convenors hope the league will serve to combat influences tending to the reduction of manly sport and healthy recreation, and marshal the strongest opposition to extreme legislation. FARMERS ANB WHBAT-GKOWING. Sydney, July 10. The farmers' conference resolved that the guaranteed price should not be less than 5s per bushel. Many farmers are selling out because the Government's price is too low. I THE COMMONWEALTH'S FLEET. ! Sydney, July 10. Two further contracts for eight steel vessels of 5500 tons are being placed, bringing the Commonwealth's fleet to I 95 ships of 388,420 tons.
