REDUCED COAL OUTPUT. THE OUTLOOK SERIOUS. Received July 4, 8.5 p.m. London, July 4. The Press Bureau reports that the withdrawal of 75,000 miner* from Britink collieries involve* 22} million ton* of reduced coal outpnt. It is also estimated that an extra 12} million tons are required for war purposes for France, Italy, neutrals, and eoaling stations. The shortage for Briitsh consumption thus amounts to 31 million tons per annum. The household rationing scheme will save an eighth of a million, leaving 27 million tons to be provided by improved output and economies in industrial and transpott consumption.
