' To the Editor. Sir, —Hero is a hint for the managers and members of our agricultural societies. The Council of the Koyal Agricultural Society of Victoria decided, after a long and heated debate on June 11, on a division of eighteen votes to eleven, to prohibit the sale of intoxicating liquor at the next annual show, to be held in September. Each member of the Council had been notified that the motion was to be tabled at the meeting, and the attendance was unusually large.
