GOLF.
Last week the Standlsh Cup competition was advanced another stage. Owing to wet weather only two of the Thursday matches were played. W. P. Nlcoll (8) beat C. Webster (18), and A. S. Hasßel (9) beat O. M. Kebbell (15) ; W. C. Weston forfeited to Dr. Wade.
The draw for this week is: W. P. Nicolt (8) plays Dr. Wade (31), and the winner of the match plays J. Milne (11); E. P. Webster plays the winner of A. S. Hassel (9) and W. H. Wood (11).
On Saturday last A. Bewley (4) beat T, Austin (12), and R. H. Bloxam won by default from H. H. Sharp. Next Saturday A. Bewley (4) plays B. H. Bloxara (15). the final of the Saturday round.
Weather permitting, the postponed match with the Witiora Club will bo played on the Waiwnkaiho links on Thursday, 18th Instant Members wishing to play in this mat ft are requested to notify Mr. Johns.
