SPLENDID DISPLAY OF ROOTS AND VEGETABLES. At the recant Winter Show at Hamilton there was an exceptionally fine showing of Swede, Mangel and Carrot Roots. 'The finest display of roots and vegetables ever made in New Zealand or Australia," was the opinion of the leading experts upon the exhibit of Messrs. I' 1 . Cooper, Ltd., well-known wholesale Seed Growers, of Wellington. Upon their stand were to be seen perfect specimens of Cooper's Major and Matchless White Carrots, also their Yellow Champion Carrot, which is the best variety for Dairy Farmers. The exhibit included fine onions, parsnips, pumpkins, marrows, and other vegetables. The display of mangels was exceptionally good, Jersey Queen, Mammoth Long Red, and Globe types being staged. The exhibit won the admiration of thousands of visitors. In the competition classes at the Show, Messrs. H. W. Maekrcth, H. C. Wallace, W. Runciman, G. Manktelow and others, were successful exhibitors from the produce of Cooper's Seeds.
In the Government trials at Kuakura State Farm in 191S, Cooper's Seeds were particularly successful, tlie germination being exceptionally strong. Many of tlie splendid specimens of Carrots, Mangels, etc., displayed on the stand of the Department of Agriculture were produced from Cooper's Maoriland-Grown Seeds.
