OPERATIONS ON WEST FRONT. London, June 30. Sir Douglas Haig's aviation report of the 29th states: There was much air fighting on the 28th, and enemy machines showed considerable activity. We shot down 17 and drove down 0 out of control. Three of ours are missing.

Our airmen and balloons co-operated with the artillery engaged in practice on batteries and dumps with good destructive effect, causing a great number of explosions and fires. We dropped 22 tons of bombs in the daytime and 14Vi tons at night on various targets.—Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc.

FURTHER RAIDS ON GERMANY. London, June 30. The Air Ministry rports: An enemy aerodrome at Prescaty was attacked on the evening of the 2dth. The bursts Were not observed owing to the bad visibility. We made a very successful attack on the Dabische aniline and soda factory at Mannheim on the 29th. Despite the unfavorable weather we dropped many heavy bombs. Six burets were observed in the factory. Five hostile machines attacked our formation over the objective. We drove down three, two of which were out of control. All our machines returned. —Aus. N.Z.
