PRICES OF TIMBER. Received June 28, 10.35 p.m. Sydney, June 28. i Evidence before the Commonwealth [Prices Commission enquiring into the prices of timber, showed that importers were paying Cs to 8s above contract prices for New Zealand timber, and were now paying double the former rate for white pine.
ITALIAN RED CROSS DAY. Sydney, June 28. The city is en fete for Italian Red Cross Day. There are the usual stalls, procession and money-collecting davices.
