JpUBLIC Notice is hereby given that in pursuance of the powers vested in it in that behalf by "The Rating Act, 1908" and the amendments thereto, and "The Counties Act, 1908," and tlie amendments thereto, it is the intention of the council of the County of Egmont at the ordinary monthly meeting to be held at the Council Chambers, Opunake, on Tuesday, the 9th day of July, 1918, to make and levy the following general rates on the capital value of all rateable property within the respective Ridings of the County, for the period of twelve months, from the first day of April, 1918, to the thirty-first day of March, 1919, namely: OEO RIDING (outlying district): One penny and three farthings in the £. OPUA RIDING: One penny and one farthing in the £. OPUNAKE RIDING: One penny and one farthing in the £. RAHOTU RIDING: One penny and one farthing in the £. ALTERATIONS IN SCALE OF CHARGES. pUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that on and after the Ist day of July, 1918, the following charges will be made for treatment of patients in Hospital, under control of the above Board: Adults—Each 7s per day. Children under 14 years of age—Each 5s per day.. If more than one child, under the above age, and belonging to the same family, become patients in Hospital, during the same period, then the charges will be: For the first child, 5s per day. For the second child, 4s per day. For the third and each subsequent child, 3a per day. Any person going into Hospital for a fractional part of a week only will be charged at the rate of a full week's maintenance.
