FARM ANO DAIRY.

MB. A. K. W ATKESS EEDKSEEE JERSEY HEED, In our advertising columns to-day an advertisement appears of the dispersal sale of Mr. A. E. Watkins' stud herd of jerseys. Without a close perusal of tbe catalogue it is difficult to realise the quality of the animals that the auctioneers, are instructed to sell on account of this well-known breeder. The vender originally started his stud with the imported bull, "Yankee Sweet," but in more recent years his main idea has been to keep as closo as possible to the original importers to see their anotfber imported sire, "Campanile Sultan." The progeny of the latter bull have quite recently been making great names for themselves in the butter fat world and it must be very gratifying to the original importers to see their , stock turning out so satisfactory. It is impossible to give to breeders any i idea of the cattle catalogued, but we would invite all fanciers to obtain a copy from the auctioneers and attend the sale at Hawera on Saturday, 13th July.

MESSES CLIFFORDS' FRESSIAN SALE. TOMORROW AT LEPPERTON. Mr. Newton King draws final attention to the dispersal sale of these wellknown Friesian cattle to-morrow at Lepperton. The catalogues have now been in circulation for some weeks ana any fancier who has not as yet secured one should make early application. Several of the herd have been put under semi-official test thn's season and the returns to date will be supplied by Mr. Clifford at the sale. The cattle have been inspected very closely during the last few weeks and they leave very little to be desired. The condition that Mr. Clifford has them in is very good and in every.way a credit to the district. Full arrangements have been made as to the luncheon which will be obtainable from eleven o'clock. All trains stop at the Lepperton railway station. Buyers coming to New iFrymouth are requested to note that cars will run from Mr. Newton King's office from 9 o'clock on Friday morning up to the time of sale. SCOTTISH AGRICULTURE.
