PLUNKET SOCIETY.
MEETING ON MONDAY. 1 ..'.' A special meeting- of the- New plymonlir branch of the Royal N.Z. Society for the Health of Women and Children was held on [Monday, at which Mrs. C. H. Burgess presided. Mrs. Browne wrote resigning her position as-vice-prosident and member of the committee:— Accepted with regret. The committee appointed Mesdames Rolands and Mortimer-Jones as members of the committee, Mrs. Walter Weston hon. treasurer, and Mrs. Sydney Allen non. secretary of the society. In accordance with the rules of the central council an adrisory board was elected, and the secretary instructed to write to tho following gontiemenJ Dr. Wade, Mr. A. H. Johnstone, and Mr. Gordon. Eraser. It was decided to rent the suite of looms oyer Mr. Goldwater's, in Brougham Street, as Phmket rooms, and a sub-cnmmiltee was farmed Ko superintend furnishing same.
