GERMAN EXAGGERATIONS EXPOSED. THE LOSSES FOR MAY GIVEN. Received June 24, 10 pan. Washington, June 23. Advices from France say there is no truth in the German report that in May 413 aeroplanes and 27 Anglo-Freneh captive balloons were brought down, against 185 German machines and 28 balloons. The fact is that the French aviator* brought down 16 German machines, 160 were put out of action, and 35 balloons were destroyed, in addition to 38 Ger. man machines destroyed by anti-aircraft gu^is. The French lost 80 machines, 12 Were put out of action, and 8 balloons were destroyed Assoc. A TRANS-ATLANTIC FLIGHT. Received June 24, 10.10 pjh. New York, June 23. The American Aero Oiab has announced that it has negotiated with aircraft manufacturers for a trans-Atlantic flight which, it is expected, will soon be attempted.—Press Assoc.
