The-harbormaster (Captain Waller) reported that for the period ended June 15, 25 vessels of an aggregate tonnage of 22,113, had, entered the port The Imports amounted to .SOO7 tons, and the exports to 1673 tons. The coal landed fox the Government ?.M- vnted to 793 tons. I During the month a ilgmnent of 16,158 leases of benzine and 29,5'j0 feet of timber liad. Iteen landed. SUPERINTENDENT'S BEPOBT. The superintendent (Mr. P. Henderson) re-ported:-The Paritutu. dredged on the eastern side of the bnsln on 22 days.. The dredging was siower than usual, on account of the bottom consisting mostly of boulders, of which 282 liad been lifted; only tea loads of spoil had been dredged draing the month. Fourteen of the boulders weighed from 5. to 8 tons each, and It had been necessary to remove 'the,suction pipe in order to lift them'by the pipe derrick. Moorings have been, i laid to work the cut Inshore abreast of the i Parltutu's berth, when the weather is unfavorable for work outside. Bough weather prevented dredging on 5 days, and laying moorings, changing damaged buckets, and coaling, had occupied 3 days. The Thomas .King worked on 30-days, and was laid tip. for 5 days on account of rough weather. The number of loads removed' Was 121, equal to {BBO-tons. This dredge is now being altered, for the•conveyance and tipping of stone, and will bs< ready for work in. about 5 days. Only tivo ■ tipping drays are being fitted at present, and the others will bo fitted later. In the meantime the pumping plant will still be available when required, as approved by Mr. Blair Mason. QeneraL—The diver and crew have teen engaged on 21 days in clearing and blasting boulders. Other hands have been engaged repairing the coal bins, Paritutu buckets, and la malting alterations to the Thomas King. GENERAL. Correspondence was received, from the New Plymouth Borough Council respecting the oxchange of land, and confirming the arrangements made at a meeting of representatives of the two bodies. The chairman referred to remits which had been set out for consideration by tho harbor boards' conference, to be held on July 1. He said tho better plan would bo to have copies of the remits prepared and placed in the hands of each member, and have them discussed at the next meeting of the board, so that the retresentative would have the opinion of the board as a guidance ■ for hte, actions at. the conference. Accounts amounting to £3611.': 3a; 6d.i were passed for payment. The. board then went into committer.'
