PALESTINE.
CAVALRY RECONNOITRE. A BOMBING RAID. Received June 21, 9.20 pjn. London, June 20. Palestine official: Cavalry, reconnoitring on the 17th eastward of the Jordan, killed: a number of tha enemy. Imperial and Australian air squadrons made an extensive bombing raid on El Kutrani railway station, on the Hedjaz railway, on the morning of the 16th. Direct hits were made on a troop train full of troops, and on enemy shelters. Station buildings were set on fire.—Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc. and Reuter.
