In the last hospital report published the names of A. E. Speck (Stratford) appears in the dangerously ill lilt, and that of H. Sefton (StratfoM) in* the not severe cases. In a list of honors awarded to New Zealandera,. Issued by tho Defcnco Department, the names of I. G. West (C. H. West, New Plymouth) and S. C. Forrester (Miss M. Smith, New Plymouth) appear amongst those Upoft whom the Military Medal has been conferred. Mr. A. S. Mitchell, a member of the Financial Assistance Board, who was asked to resign from tho Second Division League recently, as he had allowed liim.elf to be nominated for the Financial Assistance Board after he had ,keen withdrawn as the league's representative, wai medically examined at Wellington on Friday for fiflrvice with the New Zealand .Expeditionary Foreo H» will proceed to camp oft September ■i'n.
