INGLEWOOD.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) Inglewood, June 19, A large number of Class C men have received noticeHAat they are to prepare for his Majesty's service should the medical examinations prove satisfactory. There happens to be a number of men with strong athletic inclinations amongst them, and I understand that a football team has already been elected for the camp championship. The team is as follows:—Full back, T. Arthur (captain); three-quarters, Hopson, Bathurst, and Henderson; five-eighth, J. Sutherland; half, Pullen; wing-forward, O'Carroll; forwards, Lester, Lile, Partridge, Taylop, Lindsay, Mallon, Falbish, and Simons. The forwards are a powerful lot, and some of the fbadks a hit fast, so the team should give a very good account of itself when wanted for the fray. The Plunket nurse is paying regular weekly visits to Inglewood, and has a number of regular attendera with babies. The nurse is filling a gap that has been wanted for some time, and the committee are to (be commended on their effort in securing one for the district. The Boy Scout* are moving to N their new premises next week. They have taken over the building known as Pennington Hall, which is very conveniently situated, and has more accommodation than the present building. The golf medal competition last week end resulted in Mr. P. d'Carroll proving the winner with a net score of 86. On Thursday a competition i s to be held for a box of balls presented by Mr. Gudgeon, and is to take the form of a mixed Foursome.
