To the Editor. Sir,—Could you or any of your correspondents suggest a way of overcoming the dog nuisance in this town? The condition at present is that numbers of dogs are permitted to wander about the streets to the eminent danger of cyclists and motor-cyclists. I have recently been thrown by a dog and badly smashed, and am attacked daily by dogs on the street- It seems useless to warn the owners. A case at court would no doubt be the best method of warning owners of these useless brutes of tho liability for damages. While trying to avoid two dogs which attacked me to-day, I was almost thrown under k passing tram. Is it not thne something was done to minimise this most daDgerous and obnoxious state of t-f---fairs? —I am, etc.,
