They include duty furlough meih of more than; three years' service.. These- wao.'s have been posted to> "Details,?* sfnd their job- is- to draw their orations, and keep their buttons bright. The: tE*mng staff; meairwfrile, is busy instructing mc:o.. classes, ini which recent' recruaa are being prepared to become' temporary ilco'b with reinforcement drafts. Nearly all these temporary■ n.c.o'a will revert to the ranks before they go info the- trenches. The obvious question is r why do- not the authorities make- use of the services of the experienced met already available ..atead of training new corporals and sergeants, for the reinforcements'? The official answer is that the returned men belong to the Division and not to the reinforcements. But it iss stated that some of the returned men have been in camp for monthsvsinceitbe esspiry of their leave.
