The Wltlora Golf Club Is playing the Now Plymouth Club at the Watwakatho links tomorrow. The following constitutes the team: Groy, Elliott, Broome, Berridge, J. Sole, Beale, Caimoll, Medley, Hooker, Sole jnr„ Bond, Johnston, Corney, Luscombo, Gilmour, Furlong, R. Georgo, Okey, Goldwater, Terry, Wood, Campbell, Morgan. The following have been selected to represent the New Plymouth Club: F. S. Johns, A.. Bewlev, W. C. Weston, W, H. Bobcrtshaw, W. P. Nicoll, A. S. Hasell, W. H. Wood, J. Paton, M*Ginnlty, J. Austin, B. W. D. Robertson, H. R. Bloxam, D. Hutohen, fl. M. Kebbell, F. Hoaan, D. Smythe, C. Webster, E. P. Webster. The attention of players is called to the following new local rule in connection with play at the Walwakaiho links: "Balls lying in bunkers near No. 10 gi-f'i. where repairs are belgn effected, must be dropped on top of the hill, noi nearer the hole, under penalty of ona stroke." ■ Last week the New Plymouth Club played the first Saturday round of the Standish Cup competition, which resulted as follows: J. Austfit (12) beat D. Hutchen (IS), 4 up and 2; T. P. Anderson (18) beat F. S. Johns (3), 5 up and 3; G. Grey (T) beat .T. Paton (11), 5 up and S; A. Bewley (4) won by default from D. Smythe; H. R. Bloxam (IS) beat R. W. D. Robertson fll), S <ip and 1; —. Brown CIS), H. H. Sharp (II) ami W. H. Robertshsw 04) had bye*. The following is the draw for the second round, to be played next Saturday: A. Bewley (4l> plays T. P. Anderson (IST! 0. Grey (7) plays J. Austin (12), W. H. Bobeitshaw (4) Play 9 FI. H. Sharp (11), —, Brown (18> plays IT. R. Bloxam (15).
