VENDETTA. AT WORK. AGAINST ANTI-OONSCRTPTIONISTS. TWO POLICEMEN SHOT. London, June 15. Owing to :their opposition to the anticonscription resolution, six members of the Wicklow Town Council have been boycotted. The vendetta has forced one member to leave in order to find work in fngland. Another has decided to close down his 'business ancj leave the town, owing to the laborers' refusal to load his steamers. The third, a grocer, is suffering seriously through, the loss of customers. Two men shot two policemen at Tralee in daylight, but escaped. The police arte scouring the districts. No arrests have yet been made. There was a riot at Ballygar, Glalway, in connection witli arrests for illegal drilling. The crowd threw rotten eggs and stones and blocked the road with trees and barbed wire and cut the telegraph and telephone wires. Finally the police charged the mob with 'bayonets. Sixteen counties and boroughs in Ireland have been proclaimed.—(Press Assoc.
