INGLEWOOD.
(From Our Special Correspondent.) .Tunc 17. The Mayor (Mr. W, Young) informs me that the borough intends going to the ratepayers shortly for a £(KMW loan to .permit of further extensions to the electric light system. At present the electric light plant is 'being worked to its fullest capacity, and it is urgently necessary that additions, or a separate plant, should 'be installed to cope with the increased demands. Should the ratepayers sanction the loan, a separate plant will be installed further up tho river, and the present power, 160 horsepower, duplicated. The Mayor speaks very highly of tho borough quarry, opened some months ago, -and states that it is becoming a very valuable asset to the borough. The electric light charges are very reasonable, and prospects ahead, fronj a municipal standpoint, appear very good.
