' OONOLUMWG DAY. The concluding day of the Winti Show sahv a very large attendance. There wiis a steady. stream of visitors all day, the building (being thronged during the afternoon and evening, the taikings at the door being £B2, the largest for any show day. The result of the various raffles were announced as advertised elsewhere in this issue. The correct weight of the cow was 6901b, and the winner was Mr. W. Snell, South" Boad, New Plymouth (6901b), and Mr. F. M. Wefob, Purangi, second, witft pSBlb, The weight of the cow was very deceptive, ,a?, she appeared to be a' very small animal. The committee that attended to the weighing were themselves surprised a$ the turn of the scale,' and carefully checked the weights over several times. The winning number for the cake was No. 3 (Mr, Thomas Luxton, Waitara), and for the iced cake No, 133 (Mrs. L, Sampson, Waitara). The total takings at the doors fof the four days was £222 17s 6d, this being £36 more than last year's figures for the gape period. The weight-guessing of realised £37 18s, raffles £<sl 9s, jumWe stall 1&87 7s 3d; luncheon, afternoon, tea and supper, £Bl Is 3dj' cake guessing, £8 7s fid.
