Sir Eric Geddes, interviewed by the Petit Parisien, said that since January we have sunk more submarines than the enemy has built. We attacked submarines, on an average, seventy times weekly, and base the returns on thosb of which we are sure, having seen them wrecked or secured the crews. Most of the submarines hit urgently need repairs, therefore the results of many attacks are unknown. The damage at Ostend and Zeebrugge XTtkS more extensive than at first supposed. Ostend. since the Vindictive was sunk, has not been used for submarines or destroyer;, which are bottled up at Prugea. Both ports are constantly harried bv aeroplanes. The position of the Allied shipbuilding is most satisfactory.—Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc.
