ENTERTAINMENTS.
ROYAL STROLLERS. The second appearance of the- Royal Strollers at the Empire Theatre last night wore greeted with another large and appreciative audience, The company showed itself even more versatile and provided a two-and-a-half-hours' aptertainment of sparkling merriment. Several of the items given on Wednesday were repeated with increased success, Mr. Sydney James was in even better form than on the first night, and his hits were highly appreciated. The djuuyis were a feature of the programJne, the leading of Miss Rossiter being exceedingly clever. The programme concluded with a highly diverting skit on a pictuifeshow entertainment, iri which the arrival of the audience, and the effect of the 1 various "films" on them, were anluaingly represented. The Strollers will appear at Waitara to-night and Hawera on Monday.
