ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
, A, DOCTOR'S SERIOUS ACCIDENT. Australian-N.Z. Cable Association. Wellington, Juno 10. Br. George Saunders, of Johnsonville, met with a serious accident on Saturday, resulting in a broken thigh and fractured skull. He !iad been attending a patient at Tawa Flat and was returning homeward in the darkness in the early morning. A man went ahead with a lamp to light the road, but somehow the car got out of control and crashed, down a4O foot bank Dr. Saunders was subsequently brought to Wellington, and his skull operated upon. BODY OF MISSETO MAiN FOUND. Auckland, June 10. The' dead body of Harold S. Thomson, aged 47, who has been missing since Friday, has. been found at Judge's Bay. FATALITY AT A WOOLLEN' MILL. ChriKtehurch, June 10. A 1 boy named William James M'Leod, 15 years, was killed at Kaiapoi woollen mills on Saturday afternon. He was struck on the temple by a steel rod which was being drawn from a warp frame. MAM TTTT .T.Tim BY A. MOTOR. Cliristchrtrch, Jone 10. Peter Ckrkin. aged 53, a laborer, was run over by a motor-car at Halswell on Saturday night and died before reaching the hospital. Deceased and another man were walking along the road, when deceased rushed suddenly across in front of the motor-car and was knocked down. A GUN ACCIDENT:. Greymouth, June 10. Whilst cleaning a gun yesterday a lad, aged 17, son of Arthur Robinson, Rotomanu, accidentally shot his young brother, 4A years old. Death was almost: instantaneous. SUDDEN DEATH. Nelson, June 10. Mr. Charles Yates Fell died suddenly this morning, aged 74, He was formerly Crown Prosecutor, ext-Mayor, and chairman of the College Governors. He occupied a prominent place in. city, affairs for half a century.
