FIRES.
TIMBER IHLL DESTROYED. By Telegraph.—'Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. A fire on Saturday afternoon resulted in tie destruction of the milling plant and stock of timber of the Onehunga Sawmflling Company. The fire spread with tremendous rapidity, owing to a strong south-westerly wind, which was blowing straight up the harbor, and consumed practically the whole of the buildings and plant, as well as the stacks of sawn timber. This included the planing and moulding, as well as the joinery departments. The mill and plant were insured in the Sun office.
