Hoptkins RoJiofcu, some months after Mr, Newton King's Friesian dispersal sale In Octdber, 101G, and .placed at the head of their stud Friesian herd. Through an accident the owners have had to have him destroyed, but not before they had obtained his service on practically the whole of their stud herd. It is interesting to copy from the Friesian year book of 1017 the following particulars of the returns of four of his daughters. Segis Galatea at a start of test of two years, 20 days, butter fat 412Jj31'bs; INozli Fayne Segis 2 years, 353 days, 405.1i11b3 fat ; Segis 2nd Belle 1 year, 347 days, 316J121bs fat; and lady Bountiful 1 year 241 days, 257.451bs fat. These records were all made under ordinary farming conditions, these heifers running out with the balance of tho milking herd and without any special feeding. His siire, "King Fayne Segis," wa3 by King Segis out of Inka Lady Johanna. lnka Lady Johanna has a record of 18.5211>s butter with 418.701 ibs milk Lin seven days. Oozine 3rd Fayne, a daughter of King Fayne Segis 2nd, who is under semiofficial test at present, hail a record to. the Ist May, 1918, of 205 days to the Ist May Says in test 3751bs butter fat. Segis 2nd, Morning Rose, in 270 days to the .■lit May has produced 3311bs fatAs the majority of the pedigree cows to bo sold at Messrs Cliffords sale are in calf to this fine bull, FrieSian 'breeders.
