SHRINKAGE OF LABOUR.

To the Editor. Sir, —Just a line in answer to "Patriot" re shrinkage of labour. He says some of the farmers have got , their backs up. And no wonder. Now that he iias "fallen in" about Hurford Road, he is having a cut at Rugby Road. I can tell him that he is still tangled up, for not one of the directors worked an hour on tho factory building. It is true that several of the suppliers, at great inconvenience to themselves, gave a hand, at the request of the builder and directors. All praise to them. Rather than see their factory hanging fire they rolled up to work. I know since then they have had to adopt not "a go-slow" policy, but a speeding-up.— T am, etc., A RUGBY ROAD SUPPLIER.
