Mr. Robinson writes: The effects of the Allied air raids on the battle "front are so immense that enemy troops are taking elaborate precautions to avoid observation. They are marching in small formations, and are ordered to break up and scatter when warned,— Times Service, FIGHT OVER NORTH SEA. GERMAN MACHINE DESTROYED. Received June 9, 11.30 p.m. London, June 8. E. ileuli, Okaiiawa, adjourned until the July sitting, appellant to try and make arrangement® to get someone else on the farm; P. E. Cleland, Stratford, appeal dismissed, with leave until the .Sep. teoriber draft; B. Cleland, Kaponga, former sine die decision adhered to; AJvforatti, fanner, Midhirst, appeal dismisssed, with leave until the September dralt. In the case of Thomas Cyril Cameron, farmer Whenuakura, decision was reserved. The appeal of Frank Edward Joyce, store manager, Waitotara was further adjourned until the July sitting. John Gordon Willis, fanner, Inaha, for Whom Mr. Powell appeared, appealed on the ground of public interest. He was a Second Division reservist, Claas B. lie occupied a leasehold farm of 100 acres- He was milking 55 cows by machine. —Decision was reserved. T%o employer's appeal (J, T. Beildher) in respect of Albert Belcher, farm manager, Stratford, waa further reviewed.— Appeal dismissed, with leave until the July CI draft. The appeal of John William Simmonds, fanner, Tarata (Mr. O'Dea, instructed by Mr. Coleman, Stratford), was reviewed. This was really a rehearing. Appellant had previously withdrawn the appeal, as he thought he wousld be able to make financial arrangements that would enalde him to put a good house on the property and lease -it, but in this he had been unsuccessful.—'Decision was reserved. Frederick Myers, farmer, sine die reservist, Huiakaina, said he was ready to go into camp, but lie desired a little time to enahle him to complete some necessary work—Chairman: Will July 10 suit?—Yes.—Appeal dismissed, and leave granted accordingly. (Leonard Knighton Sheard, farmer, Hawera, sine die reservist, said there was no alteration in his circumstances. —The case was adjourned until the July sitting, to endeavor to sell or lease the farm.

The appeal of Harold Joseph Susans, farmer, Stratford, was again further reviewed. Appellant said he had endeavored to dispose of the farm, but up to the present had been unsuccessful. William Charles Aitken, blacksmith, j Opunake, said he had disposed oif his business, but desired further time to arrange his domestic affairs. —Appeal dismissed, and leave granted until the July draft. The a,ppeals of William Drake,, farmer, Tarata, and Ernest Chapman, farmer, Kapuni, were allowed, appellants having been called up in tlhe wrong class of the Second Division, whereas they are in Class C. The appeal of Frank Dean, laiborer, (Rowan, was further reviewed. —(Decision reserved sine die, so long aa appellant reports monthly aa to the state of his [wife's health, John Corlbett, farmer, Katapiko, asked for leave until August to enable him to complete some work.
