The Marine Department announces that the tonnage destroyed by enemy action in five months in 1918 is half that for the corresponding montfhs of 1917. England and America, during May alone, constructed more shipping than the Germans destroyed during April and May, Ws also destroyed double the number of submarines the Germans constructed.—Press Assoc.
