PRESSMEN'S TRIP TO ENGLAND.

The following have been selected to represent the press of New Zealand in response to tfiie Imperial Gcmsnwextft invitation to visit England, subject to their acceptance:—Mr. Gwrge Fercwick, managing director of tfee Ofeago Daily Times, Btmedin; Mr. F. Knani, chamrcra of the provincial seojjon of the Neqn-° paper Proprietors' Association; the Bon. W. Geddis, editor of the New Zealand Times; Mr. C. Barle, editor of the Dominion, Wellington; Mr. M- L. Heading, editor of the Lytteliton Times, Christdiujrch; and Mr. It M. Hswkett, editor of the New Zealand Herald. Mr. P. Selig, chairman of the Newspaper Proprietors' Association, woe amongst those nominated, but stated that he could not accept owing to pressure of business. Several other representatives of leading newspapers wrote stating they could not leave New Zear Iftnd at the present juncture fop the samo reason. Mr. L- Blundell, of the Evening Post, Wellington, ww among those originally selected, but could not leave for private reasons. The first invitation mentioned live, but it is understood that it lws since been extended.
