SECOND DIVISION LEAGUE.
WITHRTvAWIS MOM FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE BOARD. DISSATISFACTIDX AT MINIMtAf FOR WIVES. ify Telegraph.—'?ress Association. Wellington, last >?igh,t. At a meeting of the National Executive of the Second Division (League, held this evening, the policy of tho Soldiers' Financial Assistance Board was fully discussed, when it was decided, in view of the fact that the minimum net insonic of £OO for "wife only," approver by Government as the board's policy, is not a sufficient income, having regard to the high cost of living. The league regrets that, after consultation with Its representative, it is reluctantly compelled to withdraw from representation on the board, as it cannot accept tta responsibility of being officially identified with an institution which is hampered by the present policy, and, in effect, is militating against the league's just cause of securing adequate living conditions and reasonable comfort for the wives and children and other d*> pendents of our soldiers.
