NOTE—This is the first clearing sale held on this farm. Mr. Schmidt took over the herd from the late Mr. Hunger, which mostly comprised some of the beat milking Btrain Shorthorns in the district, and from which he has bred the present herd, also keeping the best bulls. All thesecows have been tested, the tests for the herd in the flush being 3.8. Intending purchasers for good young cows should make it their business to be present at this sale. Luncheon Provided. ■N.B.—We can thoroughly recommend the above herd aa one which has been heavily culled, and only the youngest and be3t cows kept. In the flush the herd tested 3.8 and 3.9.
