AMERICAN FORCES IN FRANCE. Vancouver, May 31. Senator Lewis announced that a million Americans are now in France.— Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc. LABOR MISSION'S RETURN. Washington, May 31. The United States Labor Mission has returned to an Atlantic port from England and France. The chairman, Mr. James A. Wilson, said that the mass of the British and French were determined to prosecute the war to victory. There were a few leaders in both countries who were willing to parley with Labor deputations from the Central Powers, but those few do not represent the great majority of the workers. —Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc. SHIPMENTS OF MEAT. Washington, May 31. It is semi-officially announced in advices from the British Ministry that supplies of food are normal, and that the meat rations ahve been restored as the result of the meat shipments from the United States.—Press Assoc.
