ARREST OF A SPY. ' FROM A GERMAN SUBMARINE. London, May 2ft. A correspondent of the Daily Chronicle gives details of the arrest of the man who was put ashore from a German submarine and is now in the Tower of London awaiting a court-martial. Two fishermen on April 13, near the cliffs of Moher, County Clare, noticed a man on a barren islet waving a handkerchief. violently. They rowed him ashore. He said his name was O'Brien ami that he was a survivor from a torpedoed ship. After hp had been provided with food and clothing the authorities arrested him. The police found that the torpedoing story was untrue. The man had a good deal of English silver in his pockets; moreover, a collapsible boat was found wrecked near the cliffs of Moher. The man was evidently a spy and had landed on the islet in the night in mistake for the mainland. He endeavored to destroy the boat, and was then discovered at daylight. He had marooned himself—Aus.
