LOST MAILS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, May 31. The Acting Postmaster-General announces that the following mails from New Zealand have been lost at sea:— Thirty-one parcel receptacles for the United Kingdom, 208 for the army base post offices, two bags of letters for the United Kingdom, including a few regis* tered, 00 bags of newspapers for tile United Kingdom, and 30 for the army base post offices. The mail contained parcels received in Wellington between March 13 and 20, and newspapers and specially addressed correspondence be* tween March 1U and 22. CONCEALING DESERTERSChristclmrch, May 31. In the Magistrate's Court to-day William George 'Price and his wife, 1511 a Elizabeth Price, were charged with RS> sisting Frederick H. Painten and Win. Price, members of the Expeditionary Forces, whom they knew were deserters, to conceal themselves, and also assisting in order to enable them to escape. After the police evidence accused were committed for trial.
