SHEEP DOG CHAMPION TRIALS
Excoltettt entries have been received for the championship meeting, to be held on Tuesday next, June 4, at Mr. Brewer's farm, Taiporohenui. The number totals 141, being CO for the long bead, 54 for the short head, and 20 for t.he huntaway, Competitors will be present from almost ©very part of the Dominion. Tlio entries inchido the crack dogs of evejy provinco, and will provide a meeting full of interest, which should be marked by firat-clasa work. It will foe an epoch in tibo history of dog trials in Taraiiaki, bceaueo it will be the first championship hald in Ui« prcmnoa. The work of the dogs is most fascinating for the onlookers It ia hoped the public will lend a generous measure of support. The Red Cross ladies will run the refreshment tent during tiho day. A visit to the course will provide an excellent outing for everyone.
