Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.), and £5, and also a sweepstake of 50 per cent, of entry fees; second, 25 per cent, of entry fees; third, 12£ per cent of the entry fees. Class ll.—Championship Short Head and Yarding Competition. About 400 yards. Head, bring back, drive through one set of hurdles, drive to yard, and yard. Time, lij minutes. Prizes: First, Championship Silver Cup, valued £lO 10s (presented by Farmers' Co-op. McLean, Esq., Challenge Cup Silver Bowl for competitor scoring most points in Classes I and 11, for two years in succession, or three years at different periods. 2. .Tames Lillico, Esq., Shield, value £ls 15s, for dog showing best style at ring and yard in Classes I and if, for two years in succession, or three vears at different periods. .1. Rutherford's Memorial Shield (value £2O), for dog or dogs scoring most points in one Heading event and Huntaway; should competitor have more than one dog competing in either of the events, then lie must nominate his dog or dogs before starling. To be won three times before it can become the property of any competitor. Mr. P. Sheahan, Ohangai, Gold Medal (value £2 2s), Man and Dog scoring most points in Long Head. Mr. J. Harrington, Haweru, Gold Medal (value £2 2s), for Drover scoring most points in Long Head. Mrs. Cramp, Ilawera, Gold Medal (value £2 2s), for Maiden Man and Dog scoring most points in Huntaway.
