NGAMOTU SEASIDE IMPROVEMENT COMMITTEE.
To the Editor. Sir,—l trust you will allow met, make an appeal through your eoluHr.; on behalf of the above society's working bee to be held on Monday next. King's Birthday. In these times of stress wo have, in common with other societies, suffered a great loss in our members and funds, and we wish to take this opportunity of putting in a big day before our ranks arc further depleted. To those who have any pride in this town—and it is worthy of it—l am sure that they will assist U9 in our whole-hearted desire to improve and popularise one of our best assets., the foreshore. If there are any who cannot spare a day on Monday the society will be very happy to receive a donation of 12s to pay another man probably more used to the work. I should be glad if those intending to assist will notify any member of the committee before mid-day on Saturday, as arrangements for dinners have to be made, and those that can are requested to bring a long handle shovel. —I am, etc., J.
