BIG MOUNTAIN BATTLE. BPLSNSID WORK OF THE ALPINI. Received May 30, 9.15 p.m. London, May 29. Mr. War dPrice states that the Trentino success was gained in a very big jßoOntain battle, where there were 10,000 fMt of precipitous jagged rock slopes of let and mow. The Alpini were roped together, and they climbed for hours until rafieiently near the fortified rock eyrie* to throw bombs. Those missing their footing or being grounded dropped thousands of feet, and were battered to pieeea. The defenders, cutting the rope*, •onetime* hurled groups to destruction.
