Reports from Germany state that mutinous regiments held protest meetings against the continuance of the war and against the action taken by their commanders.—Aus. N.Z. Cable Assoc. ' Advices received here state that a German division at Dvinsk mutinied, eight of the mutineers being shot and hundreds imprisoned.—Reuter. GERMANY'S WEAKENED MANPOWER, Received May 25, 5.5 p.m. Washington, May 24. Semi-official dispatches show that German man-power is so weakened that the Government has been forced to drastic measures to fill up the gaps. It lias even formed battalions of convicts.
