EVERYBODY'S. "PICTURES WITHIN PICTURES." A RARE NOVELTY. Moton picture studo life forms the surroundings for the strong World film drama, "A Girl's Folly,'' now screening at Everybody's. Robert Warwick is in an ideal role for him, portiraying a movie star who is the idol of countless girls. He is shown in his dressing room, and acting while a picture is being taken. He encounters the little heroine when he is acting in a drama '.vliich has to have a. country setting. He takes a fancy to her and takes her to the city where the main studios are situated. There through his influence she is given a part, and enters into the reckless gaiety of the life. Soon she, learns the bitter price she is expected to pay, and escape is a matter of good fortune. Doris Ke'nyon is a lovable, and understandable heroine, and .Tune Elvidge is the lady love of the star who knows her world well. The play is a good one as a drama, but it is distinguished from all ordinary plays by its genuine peeps at the everyday doings in a picture studio, and the daily lives of picture actresses and actors. The act-, ing is splendid throughout. Supporting films include "The Girl and the Game," No. 10, Terry Human Interest, No. 3, Topical War Budget, and a jolly Cub comedy, entitled "Jerry's Brilliant Scheme." There will be a matinee today at 2 p.m.. in addition to the usual R o.'clock performance.
SPECIAL' MATINEE FILMS TO-DAY AT THE EMPIRE.
This afternoon at 2 o'clock a special matinee programme will be screened at the Empire. The pictures are suitable for both young and old, and include "Peg o' the Ring," No. 12, "Over the Fence," comedy, "Hn ( ton of Headquarters." military drama, "Silly Sultan," Nestor comedy, "Fatty and Mabel at the Fair," Keystone, and others. At the S o'clock session Olga Petrovn will make her final appearance in her splendid five-act drama. "More- Truth Than Poetry." This has been produced with the care and attention to detail that marks all "Metro" features. The force and power of the scenes will interest (he men, and the star's superb costumes, and also the strong love element, will interest- the Women. "'More Truth Than Poetry'' has features that will appeal to every person who comes into the theatre. Not only does this photodrama possess beautiful features, but it presents a powerful problem, and raises a question in the minds of everyone that must be answered.
NEW FEATURE MONDAY. The first of the pictures released by "The First National .Exhibitors Circuit" makes its appearance at the Empire on Monday night, under the title of "Alimony."
