LAST YEAR'S FIGURES. , By Telegraph.—nPress Association. '. Wellington, Last Night. Details of receipts and expenditure under the consolidated fund for the past financial year were published in this week's Gazette. The Finance Minister, on April 30, intimated that there was n surplus of revenue over expenditure for the year of five millions. The principal items were interest and sinking funds, which increased from £4,014,791 to £4,430,779; war pensions, from £180,165 to £815,383; and old age pensions, from £453,085 to £612,463. Expenditure over the annual appropriations for the end of the two years showed an increase of nearly half a million.
