A JUST CLAIM ON GOVERNMENT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmerston N., Last Night. The Palmerston North Friendly Societies Council passed the following resolution: "That this meeting urges upon the f Government the just claims of friendly societies for payment of contributions on behalf of all members on active service; that lodges having stood loyally by the members on active service, now realise that the call upon the membership is causing a severe strain on the remaining members in the direction of payment of contributions for those called upon to proceed to the front.
