The Dominion Meteorologist reports a westerly storm area has enveloped the Dominion, and high north-westerly winds have prevailed, with cloudy and squally conditions and rain generally. Present indications are for high, squally, westerly winds; weather cloudy to overcast; rivers flooded in Westland and southern districts; snow on the higher levels in the south, and colder weather following. The glass is low and unsteady in the south.
