MONTHLY MEETING. The ordinary meeting of the s?ew ; Plymouth High Schools' Board wis held last night, when there were present:; Messrs D. Hntchen (chairman), L. C; Sladden, H. Trimble, R, W- D. Wilson antTMas Andrews, on behalf of the Old Gdrls' Association, waited on the boaid and ptated that they were anxious to improve the library at the Girls' "School, and wished to know if the board would subsidise any amount they raaa«d. It was intended to devote three-fifths of the annual subscription to that purpose, and, in addition, they had in view another scheme for raising fundi. The chairman stated that the Act pro* vided that a Government subsidy of £ for £ would be payable on all amounts contributed. Mr. R. H. Eockel forwarded a cheque) for £62, in respect of donations by Old Boys for the general purposes of education, and given with the intention that a subsidy of & for £ should be Obtained from the Education Department or the Government. Meredith, Crown lands ranger, reported on various High School reserves in the Manaia district, which he stated were in good order, well farmed, and,the buildings in a fair state of repair.
