BACK FROM THE WAR.
MORE TARANAKI MEN ARRIVE. Another contingent of Taranaki soldiers, who have teen invalided from the front, reached home by Saturday night's mail train. The Mayor of New Plymouth (Mr. C. H- Burgess) was at the railway station to receive the men, as also were representatives of the local patriotic organisations and a large number of the general .public. The arrangements were somewhat dislocated by the arrival of the train being delayed about half an hour. During the period of waiting the Citizens' Band, which was i n attendance, played a number of selections. When the train came to the platform the first Reran d that greeted the returning men was the strains of "Home, Sweet Home," played by the band. About nine men came to New Plymouth, and among tliem was Private D. Dufl'ey, an old campaigner, who had been right through the Gallipoli operations. A number »of other Taranaki soldiers detrained at various stations en route. Following are the names of the men of the draft:—

Waltarn. —Privates P. Neustroski, P.. Morgan, and G. Fnrze. tiepperton.—Private Or H. Rawson. Inglewood.—Rifleman P. Henderson, Gunners S. M. Hopson and S- E. Stimpson. Stratford: Sergeant L. R. Davis, Privates J. L. Cramer, R. W. Macdonald, Riflemen W. Petrie and T. W. Ireland. Te Wera: Lance-Corporal E. G. Finnerty. Ha wera: Private K. W. Baigent, Sergeant Roy Corkill, D.C.M., Privates W, Journeaux, A. 11. Larsen, Gunner A. A. Were, Private P. G. Wasley, Private G. Zinsli. Inaha: Private J. Jones. Manaia: Lanee-Corporal T. R, Lynskey. Auroa: Rifleman T. Robertson. Pihama: Rifleman A. R. Stevenson. Okaiawa: Sergeant E. C. West. None of the men are to go into hospital, though 19 will be out-patients at various hospitals. Private Quilliam, a member of the staff of the hospital, ship, also arrived on leave. The men were in charge of SergeantMajor Butt, of the Hawera Group office.
