RUSSIA'S PROTEST.
AGAINST INVASION OF UKRAINE.
Washington, May 10. The United Press states that the Hussion note to Gei-many protests against the German invasion of the Ukraine, and demands a clear and precise answer as to whether Germany considers the BrestLitovsk treaty still effective, also why Germany continues to send troop against the Soviet Republic. Russia has notified Germany that she will be compelled to mobilise her fortes against German aggression.
GERMANS TO CRY A HALT, Received May 17, 5.30 p.m. Washington, May 16. An intercepted wireless message states that the Bolshevik Ambassador to Berlin announces that the Germans have agreed to halt their advance in Russia.— Press Association.
